Dear PRO Volunteers,
This letter and Volunteer Orientation Manual is
being created on the same day as the “big E” (Dale Earnhart) is being
memorialized. What a way to begin
our first full season of ministry at the Pocono International Raceway.
Great expectations can be cut so short so fast.
Without the guidance of the Holy Spirit this ministry can come to nought
as well. Therefore, even as I write this the first time, stop reading
and pray for yourself and this
ministry to be the instrument to bring souls to Jesus Christ.
WELCOME to Pennsylvania Racing Outreach.
What an opportunity we have been given.
Some of us have wanted to see an evangelistic ministry at Pocono for
decades. Now it is coming to pass.
We are glad to have you aboard as we begin the first season of
activities.
Communicating and planning are two of the most
crucial aspects as we go together into unknown territory.
The communications is to keep all of us on the same track.
Good ideas will get lost if not shared, and everyone will need
understanding to make them work. Without
a plan and objective we will wander with doubt as what needs to be done next.
The plan can change but lets keep our “eye on the prize of the high
calling” we are endeavoring to do.
Let us work together as an example to those who
will be watching. We are the guest
of the Track management and there to enhance and benefit the fans.
You will be watched and may they see in us the embodiment of our Lord
Jesus.
This manual is fluid. It is subject to change.
You will need to keep it updated by printing the pages you receive as
E-mails.
Please use the Directory to get the names and way
to reach the people on the Executive Council.
So, let’s get to work and find our place of
service.
